Meet The Staff

Iesha has always loved all things hair and fashion. Growing up in Virginia she watched her mother do hair and had always dreamed of one day becoming a cosmetologist. In high school Iesha signed up for the technical cosmetologist program and was accepted, but due to unfortunate circumstances she was unable to begin the program. 

Even still, Iesha completed high school with honors and then went on to Old Dominion University, completed a four-year program, and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (Sociology and Criminal Justice). Obtaining a degree was a major accomplishment, but the passion Iesha had for hair and fashion remained. She was still “doing hair” for family members, friends, and even a few loyal clients.   

After deciding that it was time for a change, Iesha packed up her family and moved to Atlanta in search of better opportunities. Immediately she began to use social media to promote hair braiding services. Though she received a few clients, some who remain loyal to this day, it was not enough. She got a job at a call center and quickly decided that it was not for her. 

Iesha officially decided that it was time to be serious about her dreams. She resigned from her job and immediately began working in a braid shop. She was happy about finally being free to do what she loves, but something was still not right.   She had everything she wanted, but a license. After gathering up the courage to finally pursue her dream as a licensed professional, she completed the Master Cosmetologist program at Empire Beauty School and went on to become a licensed Master Cosmetologist and Natural Hair Specialist.
