1. Detangle Your Hair Before Your Appointment

To avoid extra time and detangling fees, clients are expected to arrive with fully detangled hair. Here’s how to do it safely:

How to Detangle Natural Hair (The Right Way):

• Section Your Hair:
  Divide into 4–6 sections using clips or scrunchies. Always work in small, manageable portions.
   
• Hydrate First:
  Lightly mist each section with water or detangling spray. Never detangle dry, brittle hair.
   
• Apply Conditioner or Slippery Detangler:
  Use a leave-in conditioner or detangling product to soften strands and reduce breakage.
   
• Finger Detangle First:
  Gently separate knots using your fingers. Be patient—this reduces unnecessary shedding.
   
• Use a Wide-Tooth Comb or Detangling Brush:
  Start at the ends and work your way up to the roots. Never rip or force through snags.
   
• Twist or Braid Each Section After Detangling:
  This keeps your hair organized and tangle-free before your appointment.
   
• Only Blow-Dry If Directed:
  Unless your service requires stretched hair (e.g. silk press, box braids), no need to blow dry. Ask if you’re unsure.
   

2. Arrive with Product-Free Hair (Unless Prescribed)

Please avoid applying gels, heavy oils, or styling creams the day of your appointment. This allows us to assess your hair and scalp clearly and perform services more effectively.

If you’re using a prescribed or medicated shampoo, feel free to bring it with you—but note that bringing your own product does not affect pricing.

• Shampoo Only – $30

• Shampoo & Blow Dry – $40
   
• Blow Dry Only – $15
   
• Detangling Add-On – $15–$25 (depending on severity)
   

Even when you book shampoo, excessive tangling may still result in additional time and detangling fees. Please arrive prepared or book accordingly.

• Children must be fed, rested, and calm before arrival.
   
• Hair should be detangled using the method above.
   
• Bring a small comfort item if helpful (book, toy, tablet with headphones).
   
• Only one adult may accompany a child unless prior approval is given.

Please arrive hydrated and ready to sit calmly for the full duration of your appointment. We create a peaceful, intentional environment — your energy helps maintain that vibe for everyone.
