🌀 1. Detangle Your Hair Before Your Appointment

To avoid additional time and detangling fees, all clients are expected to arrive with detangled hair. Here’s how to do it safely and effectively:

How to Detangle Natural Hair (the right way):

1. Section Your Hair
   Part your hair into 4–6 sections using clips or scrunchies. Always work in manageable portions.
    
2. Hydrate First
   Lightly mist each section with water or a detangling spray. Never detangle dry, brittle hair — moisture is your friend.
    
3. Apply Conditioner or a Slippery Detangler
   Use a leave-in conditioner or detangling product to soften the strands and reduce breakage.
    
4. Finger Detangle First
   Start by gently separating knots and tangles with your fingers. Be patient — this helps prevent unnecessary shedding.
    
5. Use a Wide-Tooth Comb or Detangling Brush
   Starting at the ends and working up to the roots, slowly comb through each section. Never rip or tug through snags.
    
6. Twist or Braid Each Section After Detangling
   This keeps the hair organized and prevents re-tangling before your appointment.
    
7. Do Not Blow-Dry Unless Directed
   Unless your service specifically calls for stretched hair, there’s no need to blow dry. Let us know if you're unsure.
    

🧴 2. Come with Product-Free Hair (Unless Prescribed)

Avoid applying gels, heavy oils, or styling products the day of your appointment. This allows us to assess your scalp and strands more clearly.

If you're using a prescribed shampoo or medicated treatment, you may bring it to your service. Please note that bringing your own product does not affect pricing.

• Children must be fed, rested, and calm before arrival.
   
• Hair should be detangled using the method above.
   
• Bring a small comfort item if helpful (book, toy, tablet with headphones).
   
• Only one adult may accompany a child unless prior approval is given.

Please arrive hydrated and ready to sit calmly for the full duration of your appointment. We create a peaceful, intentional environment — your energy helps maintain that vibe for everyone.
